Job Description:
- A full-time position involves 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts per month, totaling approximately 2,190 hours annually.
- We will consider candidates interested in a minimum of 6 24-hour shifts per month; such candidates are still benefit-eligible.
- Responsibilities include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assistance, fetal monitoring, and ER coverage.
- The MFM team performs rounds and inpatient consults with high-risk patients.
- The practice handles about 60 deliveries per month.
- The facility features a 30-bed community Level-III NICU, caring for newborns 23 weeks and above.
- Support is provided by affiliated maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology practices.
- The hospital is a 387-bed tertiary acute care facility and the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley, serving over 8,000 square miles of Southeastern California.
- There are teaching opportunities with fellows, residents, and medical students.
- This is a permanent, full-time position requiring residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be necessary.
