Overview of IU Health Hospitals Birthing Suites

At IU Health hospitals, birthing suites are designed for comfort and include amenities such as pull-out beds for partners, massage therapy, and aromatherapy options. Wireless fetal monitoring allows mothers to move freely during labor. Lactation consultants offer breastfeeding support before and after birth, providing personalized advice and supplies. Security measures, including ID tags for newborns, ensure safety during the stay. IU Health collaborates with Riley Children’s Health to provide advanced birthing options like water births and midwifery services for complex procedures and specialized care. IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital currently handles approximately 1,300 deliveries annually.

We are seeking physicians for full-time, part-time, or per diem roles.
