Job Opportunity: Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Join a dedicated team at a prominent medical center located in Las Cruces, NM! This facility offers a supportive outpatient and inpatient practice setting. We are seeking a qualified physician to help provide essential care and support for patients while working alongside a team that includes three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and a Family Medicine residency program. Coverage is needed for 7-10 days each month, typically from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient and inpatient care in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Participate in clinic operations, including patient encounters (20-25 per shift).
• Engage in scheduled clinical hours and take part in on-call duty (approximately 20 minutes response time).
• Collaborate with APPs and residents to enhance patient care.
• Utilize the Athena EMR system for patient documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital privileges and board certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or eligible).
• Active New Mexico medical license preferred.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and valid medical license in New Mexico.
• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges are not available.
