Locums - Lafayette, Louisiana, OB/GYN Hospitalist Opening

Clinical Role:

• Very busy, high acuity teaching hospital with OB Residency from LSU.
• Facility is selective; acceptance requires OBHG approval, virtual site interview, and an additional interview after file completion before privileges are granted.
• Telemed: No
• Onsite Telemed: N/A
• Total FTEs needed: 6 shifts per block
• Reason for Coverage: down 5 SPM
• EMR: Cerner, transitioning to EPIC (date TBA)
• Coverage Dates: 6 shifts per block
• Shift Schedule: 7am-7pm
• Patients/Cases: deliveries, C-sections, OB ED, GYN cases
• Volume: approximately 90 deliveries/month, high maternal transfer volume
• Support Staff: MFM, in-house anesthesia, FP, OB/GYN residents
• Trauma Level: Have asked
• NICU Level: 3
• Miscellaneous: High acuity, busy teaching hospital with OB Residency. Credentialing takes 120 days; active LA license, proof of enrollment in LA PCH, and COI required before application submission. Virtual or in-person interviews required as per bylaws.
