Qualifications

• Experience in high-risk and low-risk pregnancies required.
• Must be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Active AZ state license and DEA license necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecological care in a high-risk trauma hospital.
• Perform deliveries and manage complicated cases including c-sections.
• Interpret OB ultrasounds and manage minor gynecological procedures.

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to work locum shifts in Fort Mohave, Arizona (AZ). Starting Summer 2025, work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Role:

High Risk/Trauma Hospital

Facility averages: 360 deliveries/year.

Cases/Skills Required:

• Low risk pregnancy
• High risk pregnancy
• FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
• OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
• Routine delivery including vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for c-section
• Complicated delivery including c-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology - IUB, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP
• Surgical gynecology including open, Laparoscopic - diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, tubal sterilization), Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovarian removal, cystectomy, extensive procedures)
• Laser certification

Required:

• AZ state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• A minimum of 100 deliveries performed in the past 24 months and 25 GYN cases in the past 12 months
• DEA license
