Responsibilities

• Conduct routine GYN exams and procedures including endometrial ablation and IUD procedures.
• Handle on-call duties alongside clinic responsibilities.
• Manage complications with support from CNMs and other staff.

Job description

Coverage Needed:

• September 1, 2025 - ongoing
• On-call most days, with some days both on-call and in clinic
• Open shifts for 2025:
  • Sept 1-2, 10-11, 15, 17-22, 24-29
  • Oct 1-2, 6, 8-13, 29 - Nov 3
  • Nov 5, 19-24, 26-27
  • Dec 1, 10-15, 17-18, 22, 29, 31

Clinical Details:

• Routine GYN exams and procedures: endometrial ablation, IUD insertion/removal, menopausal management, failed medical management, urinary incontinence
• Call: CNMs take first call; OB/GYN is called in for complications
• Support Staff: Clinic staffs with OB/GYNs, FM/OBs, and CNMs
• Small, 25-bed, critical access hospital
• 120 births per year

Requirements:

• Board Certified
• Active ME License or Active IMLC
• Must be willing and able to perform routine required GYN exams and procedures (e.g. endometrial ablation, IUD insertion/removal, Menopausal management, failed medical management, Urinary Incontinence etc.)
• Strong GYN skills
