OBGYN Partnership with Physician-Owned Practice
Location: Metro Sacramento, 1 Hour to Napa
Join an established, well-respected multispecialty group with over 150 clinicians, including approximately 100 physicians and 50 APPs/other professionals, serving the community for over 100 years. The practice is physician-owned and operated. Incoming physicians will be pre-shareholders for the first 2 years, with the opportunity to become shareholders afterward. Each shareholder owns one equal share. Located just an hour from Napa and a two-hour drive to Lake Tahoe, offering access to premier ski resorts, record snowfall, and stunning mountain views.
Position Details:
- The OBGYN team currently includes 2 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Planning to add 3 physicians to the team.
- Call schedule: 1:5, initially covering with locums until fully staffed.
- Skills required: laparoscopy, minimally invasive procedures, hysterectomy.
- Willingness to prescribe contraception and perform tubal ligation and IUD insertions.
- Experience with slings for mid-urethral incontinence (TVT/TOT) is a plus.
- Preference for ultrasound viability scan experience (not anatomy scans).
- Split workload: 50% Obstetrics and 50% Gynecology.
- Average patient volume: 20-25 patients per day.
- Management of high-risk pregnancies with access to MFM specialists in Sacramento; transfers at 35 weeks to higher acuity center.
- Oncology and uro-gynecology cases are referred out.
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner.
- APPs handle second call for C-sections but do not assist with GYN surgeries.
- Diverse patient population, including migrant workers and college professors.
- Additional language skills (Spanish, Punjabi, Farsi, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Patients are admitted to Woodland Memorial Hospital.
- Group has a Hospitalist team managing inpatient care for routine admissions.
