The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for part-time, non-tenure stream clinical faculty in the Department of Health Promotion and Development.

Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for these appointment stream faculty positions include a graduate degree in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Instructor - A) A graduate degree in nursing or a related field; B) Evidence of or potential for excellence in clinical and/or classroom teaching and contributing to a learning environment which values inclusivity; C) Demonstrated expertise in the indicated area of obstetric or pediatric nursing; D) RN license in Pennsylvania.

Assistant Professor - A) An earned doctorate or a graduate degree in nursing related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing is required. B) Demonstrated expertise in the indicated area of obstetric or pediatric nursing; C) Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship. D) Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity.

Associate Professor - A) An earned doctorate or a graduate degree in nursing related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing is required. B) Demonstrated expertise in the indicated area of obstetric or pediatric nursing; C) Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is nationally recognized. D) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity. E) Evidence of or potential for leadership in the field.

Professor - A) An earned doctorate or a graduate degree in nursing related to the area of scholarship within the School of Nursing is required. C) Demonstrated expertise in the indicated area of obstetric or pediatric nursing; C) Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of scholarship that is internationally recognized. D) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity. E) Evidence of leadership in the field.

Desired Qualifications: For this position, we are seeking individuals with nursing experience in obstetric and/or pediatric clinical or community-based settings. Prior experience in clinical education and/or scholarship is a plus, but not required.
