Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of OB/GYN Labor and Delivery experience required.
  • Fellowship or certification from The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) highly preferred.
  • Evidence of continuing education in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate treatment for Women's Health Care before, during, and after childbearing years.
  • Diagnose and treat reproductive system conditions and related disorders.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist coordinates treatment for Women’s Health Care before, during, and after childbearing years, diagnosing and treating reproductive system conditions and associated disorders. The physician works with an interdisciplinary team including medical assistants, nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists, and pharmacists. This role requires expertise in women’s health disease management and prevention and includes on-call duties.

  • Principle Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in women’s health care across the lifespan: assessment, intervention, and patient management
  • Knowledge of Obstetrics/Gynecology scope of practice
  • Health education, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gynecologic issues
  • Contraceptive care
  • Comprehensive care before, during, and after pregnancy
  • Providing care related to menopause
  • Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Experience with laborist work, low & high-risk obstetrics
  • Fellowship or certification from The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
  • Leadership abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Additional duties as required
  • Current California Medical license
