Overview

Carle Health is seeking a full-service BE/BC Obstetrician and Gynecologist physician to join our established and busy practice in Urbana, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

  • Established multi-specialty practice to include: 13 BC/BE OB/GYNs, 6 OB Hospitalists, 12 Midwives, 8 Advanced Practice Providers
  • 24-hour in-house call coverage with 3 physicians (2 general OB/GYNs and 1 hospitalist) and 1 CNM. Monthly call varies from 4 to 8 24-hour shifts per full-time physician
  • Admit to only one hospital - Carle Foundation Hospital
  • 24-hour dedicated Labor & Delivery anesthesia coverage
  • State-of-the-art, family-oriented L&D unit with 5 private triage rooms, 2 private Jacuzzi suites, and 7 spacious fully-appointed LDRs
    • 3 bay OBED, 8 delivery rooms, 3 operating rooms and 4 multi-use antepartum/triage rooms.
  • 5 Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians. 24/7 MFM coverage on dedicated antepartum unit adjacent to Labor and Delivery
  • Additional Obstetric support services include
    • Fetal Care Center (for antepartum surveillance)
    • 5 lactation consultants on staff
    • Established Centering Pregnancy program
  • 5 Neonatologists on staff. 24x7 in-house Neonatology coverage. 48 NICU beds.
  • On-site Women's Health sub-specialties: Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, Reproductive Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecology (including da Vinci systems).
  • Academic and research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
  • OB/GYN Residency Program (participation required; level of involvement tailored to attending's interest).
  • Magnet designation.

Consideration will be given to candidates desiring balanced OB/GYN, OB dominant, and OB only.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $375,000 - $425,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
