About Sinai Hospital

Sinai Hospital is a nonprofit teaching hospital with an ACGME-accredited residency program training over 140 residents. It has 483 beds and is the largest community hospital in Maryland. The hospital hosts a regional medical campus of George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, hosting medical students for rotations since 2018, including OB/GYN.

Department and Services

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a board-certified/eligible laborist to join our team, with an academic appointment at GWU. Our services include:

• 1,800 annual births
• Level 3 Neonatal ICU
• Full GYN Oncology and Maternal Fetal Medicine services
• 24/7 anesthesia support
• Comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care
• Laborist program supporting labor and delivery

Laborist Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage for Labor and Delivery and OB triage
• Consult for postpartum and emergency departments
• Manage labor floor for low and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform vaginal and operative deliveries, including cesarean sections
• Work scheduled shifts of 12 to 24 hours
• Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents in a respected ACGME program
