Your Role With Us:

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full-scope OB/GYN Medical Director to join our award-winning, high-volume practice in a full-time (1.0 FTE) capacity with .8 Clinical and .2 Admin FTE allocation. The typical schedule will include 2 total clinic days (1 full day, and 2 half-days) with the remaining half days dedicated to administrative tasks and a day off.

Our OBGYNs collaborate and are supported by our comprehensive Women & Children's Health Division, including the OB Hospitalist team and on-campus clinics for GYN/ONC, OB/GYN, Midwifery, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Director would oversee these service line stakeholders, addressing patient safety concerns, serving as a resource for daily operations, schedule management, and overall business strategy.

Salem Health's OBGYNs enjoy a four-day workweek that includes three clinic days, one dedicated OR day, and one on-call shift. They have a 1:5 call rotation (includes weekends & Fridays, subject to change). The average monthly volume per provider is 185 appointments, 12 deliveries, and 10 surgeries.

Our experienced OB/GYN team offers all aspects of obstetrics and gynecologic care, including contraception management, pregnancy and prenatal care, childbirth, surgery, and treatment of reproductive system diseases and disorders. Our state-of-the-art Family Birth Center features a 19-bed Labor & Delivery Unit, 12 labor beds, 7 antepartum beds, two operating rooms, and a 27-bed level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Background/Expertise:
  • Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Currently hold, or are able to obtain, a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon.
  • Hold a current unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Hold Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Robotics training preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience and current competency, including performing at least 30 gynecologic diagnostic/therapeutic inpatient/outpatient hospital procedures in the past 24 months.
  • Performance of at least 50 deliveries in the past 24 months.
  • 6 years of experience as a board-certified OBGYN Physician required.
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience highly recommended.
