Job summary

Endeavor Health's OB/GYN Hospitalist program seeks a physician to lead labor and delivery across our Elmhurst and Edward/Northwest Community Hospital campuses. The role is a 1.0 FTE with a schedule of 13- and 12-hour day/night shifts, offering flexible opportunities within full-time status.

Epic EMR access enables streamlined patient care. The ideal candidate will be board-eligible or board-certified in OB/GYN with IL licensure eligibility, and a track record in high-quality obstetric care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with successful completion of OBGYN residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for labor and delivery unit operations.
• Supervise care for patients in labor and delivery, including cesarean and vaginal deliveries.
• Deliver evidence-based obstetric care and collaborate with OB/GYN colleagues.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Location: Primary location: Edward, Elmhurst Hospital and Northwest Community Hospital (NCH)
• Full-Time/Part- Time 1.0 FTE position will be expected to work a combination of 13, 12-hour day and night shifts throughout the month with flexible opportunities in FTE status.
• Pay Range: $310,000-350,000 - As a valued member of an integrated team, your placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE.

Endeavor Health’s Women’s Service Line has many distinguished faculty and attending physicians and continues to focus on growth.

Physicians will be at the forefront of shaping and molding a cutting-edge OB Hospitalist program with an Obstetric Emergency Department while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and team oriented. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Provide overall leadership and oversight for all activities on the unit, working in collaboration with nurses and staff to effectively deploy resources and manage patients.
• Supervise all clinical care for unassigned patients in labor & delivery, including cesarean sections, spontaneous and operative vaginal deliveries, antenatal and postpartum care.
• Deliver high quality evidence based obstetric care.
• Work collaboratively with all other OB/GYN colleagues, MFMs, CNMs nurses and staff.
• Work with service line leaders toward continuous improvement by participating in and leading quality improvement initiatives, helping educate staff, and guiding patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

• Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school and successful completion of OBGYN Residency required.

Minimum Licensure Requirements

• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.

Minimum Certification Requirements

• Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.

Minimum Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or Fellowship trained.
