Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a CRNA to independently complete comprehensive preoperative assessments and review medical histories to verify obstetric delivery criteria. You will educate patients on the anesthetic plan, prepare equipment, and administer regional or general anesthesia as needed, collaborating with OB and anesthesiology teams to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe transport, maintaining PHI confidentiality, and providing scheduling

Qualifications

• Independently complete comprehensive preoperative assessment.
• Review essential medical history to verify patient meets criteria for obstetric delivery.
• Educate patient and staff regarding the anesthetic plan and potential risks.
• Prepare equipment and drugs for the planned anesthetic.
• Perform and manage regional and general anesthesia as needed.
• Collaborate with physician anesthesiologists and OB team for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to ensure safe patient transport to the operating room.
• Maintain PHI confidentiality and comply with UH policies.
• Provide flexibility in scheduling and call coverage as required.
