Job summary

Somnia Anesthesia in Stockton, CA is seeking a Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology to lead a high-acuity obstetric service within a regional referral program. The role includes collaboration with OB leadership, nursing, and hospital teams to optimize patient care in a Magnet-designated academic system.

The position offers a base of $575,000 with a $30,000 annual stipend, CME allowance, relocation assistance, a 10-week PTO, and a $50,000 commencement bonus.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license.
• BC/BE in Anesthesiology.
• Obstetrical anesthesia experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working in a high-acuity obstetric environment.
• ACLS | BLS

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic, collegial team of anesthesiologists and partner with OB leadership.
• Provide anesthesia services across obstetrics and high-acuity perioperative settings.
• Participate in monthly QI, QC, and PI safety committees and obstetrical/perinatal meetings.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and hospital leadership.
