Observational Research Senior Manager

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Observational Research Senior Manager will be a member of the Inflammation / Rare Disease team within CfOR and will be responsible for generating insights and building collaborations and capabilities to advance the use of real-world evidence related to disease state epidemiology (e.g., global burden, natural history), treatment patterns, and medication safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design, execution and delivery of RWE studies and analyses to support evidence generation to support Amgen’s pipeline and in-line medicines
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative analytic methods, capabilities and tools to enable rapid, scalable and reproducible RWE
  • Leveraging real-world data and CfOR analytic approaches to advise high-value business decisions for multiple collaborators.
  • Communicating significant scientific information to a variety of audiences
  • Building collaborations, promoting awareness, understanding and use of observational research methods with key partners.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of related epidemiology and research experience OR
  • Master's degree and 6 years of related research and scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related research and scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related research and scientific experience OR
  • High School diploma / GED and 12 years of related research and scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content.
  • Experience in the design, execution and analysis of observation research studies within Pharmaceutical and/or Public Health settings.
  • Experience in research to support drug development.
  • Experience working with secondary data systems including administrative claims, EMR and registries.
  • Experience in observational research project planning and management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in Dermatology research and/or other inflammation therapeutic areas.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
