Observational Health Data Analyst:

6-month contract with high possibility of extension

Remote

Our client is looking for an expert Observational Health Data Analyst to spearhead the analysis of all existing observational health data. This individual will be responsible for performing the characterization and quality analysis of data, utilizing statistical and database programming methodologies to answer key research questions. We are looking for this person to be a great team player, a self-starter, and a true problem solver.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and organize programming and oversight activity for the analysis of observational health data, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Develop and apply statistical methods to large-scale observational datasets
  • Perform statistical analysis utilizing various SQL and R procedures
  • Utilize statistical methodologies related to the use of real-world data

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Informatics, Computer Science, or related disciplines is required
  • 4 years of experience in statistical programming (R), or database programming (SQL) is required
  • 2 years of programming against large healthcare data sets is required
  • 2 years of relevant prior work experience in the healthcare industry within a pharmaceutical company, insurer, or within a health system is required
  • Experience with the statistical analysis and management of administrative claims datasets or electronic health records
  • Demonstrated experience working with large observational health databases
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience working with OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) programs and teams preferred
