• High School diploma or equivalent with recent healthcare patient-care experience.
• BCLS certification within first 90 days.
• Complete hospital-based monitor tech training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical desk duties with high accuracy.
• Serve as monitor tech for the unit.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette.
• Screen calls and forward messages appropriately.
• Enter calls in the call log.
• Answer call lights and relay messages to nursing staff.
• Assist in patient care with EKGs, splint application, and crutch training.
• Perform patient procedures per hospital policy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the unit and stock supplies.
• Notify resources for broken or missing equipment.
• Obtain blood specimens via venipuncture and label appropriately.
