Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week with a 7am start and rotating weekends and holidays.

The pay range is $38.20 to $57.30 per hour, with benefits eligibility and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, patient and family engagement, and collaboration with the care team to achieve quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).
BLS certification required.
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; engage patients and families.
Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources; collaborate with the care team.
Uphold a culture of safety and maintain ethical standards.
Float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
Appropriately delegate to RNs, LPNs, and other staff as required.
Provide age-appropriate care according to department policies.
