HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, follow established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, medication administration, timely documentation, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively addressing needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
