Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team and physicians.

You will assess patients on admission and during shifts, perform procedures, document care, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients in line with nursing models and organizational values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• CPI certification
• Minimum of one year acute care hospital Med Surg RN experience
• Fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during each shift, report changes
• Administer medications, monitor response, document care in the medical record
• Provide timely, compassionate care and respond to patient requests
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up
