Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency).
• BLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 4 months.
• Magnet certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and conduct patient assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
• Assume leadership roles such as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees.
• Advocate for patients and families and monitor patient rights and safety.
