Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV invites applications for a Per Diem Observation Attendant (CNA) to join our night shift team.

Under RN supervision, you will monitor patients, maintain a safe and clean environment, and report observations to the nurse, while supporting peers and staff. Candidates should have English communication skills and BLS certification, with eligibility to enroll in a CNA training program within 90 days; per diem position offers flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Within 90 days be eligible to participate in a CNA Training program.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the observation attendant maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members. Offers support to peers and staff.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
• Within 90 days be eligible to participate in a C.N.A. Training program.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
