Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an observation attendant (CNA) to provide continuous patient monitoring under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports a safe, clean environment and communicates patient observations to the nurse on duty.

The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, be able to communicate in English, complete CNA training within 90 days, and hold BLS (AHA) certification. Per diem schedule, night shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
• Within 90 days be eligible to participate in a C.N.A. Training program.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant visual observation of assigned patient under RN supervision.
• Assist in providing a safe and clean environment.
• Communicate observations of patient activity and behavior to the assigned nurse.
• Offer support to peers and staff.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the observation attendant maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members. Offers support to peers and staff.
