Job summary

Allaire Rehab and Nursing is seeking a compassionate Observation Aide to join our team in Freehold, NJ. You will support residents with daily tasks, provide companionship, and assist during meals and activities, helping new admissions settle in with warmth and care.

Shifts run across 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, and 11pm–7am on weekends; multiple weekend shifts available. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth and a benefits package including retirement contributions and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to treat and care for seniors with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Pass ice water each shift.
• Pass snacks as needed.
• Make beds and keep rooms neat for new admissions.
• Help new admissions feel at home and settle in.
• Accompany residents to appointments or outings.
• Maintain open communication between clients and families as liaison.
• Provide 1:1 companionship if assigned.
• Assist during meals with passing, feeding and tray collection.

Observation Aide Requirements:

• Assisting with the front desk duties as needed
• Passing of ice waters each shift
• Passing of snacks as needed
• Making the beds and assisting with the rooms remaining “neat” that the new admission rooms have essential needs including call-bells, remotes, fully made beds with pillows, etc.
• New Admission – assisting them to feel at home and settled in their room (unpacking and gathering clothing that will need labeling)
• Accompany the residents on their needed appointments or outings
• Maintain open communication between clients and their families as a liaison
• Companionship 1:1 if assigned as needed
• Assist during meal time with passing, feeding and collecting of the trays
