The Observability Delivery Manager oversees technical delivery within client engagements, manages a team of Observability Engineers and Architects, and actively participates in billable projects. This role is critical in maintaining profitability, optimizing resource utilization, and driving excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage 5-15 Observability Architects, Engineers, and Specialists, fostering their professional growth through coaching, mentorship, and career development planning.
• Maintain targeted billable utilization and profitability metrics; actively engage in billable projects.
• Lead the delivery of client projects, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to scope, and successful outcomes.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, contributing to proposals, scoping review of complex projects/Statements of Work (SOW), manage and lead customers through to resolution for all escalations, and project planning at an hourly/task-level
• Continuously improve delivery methodology by capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices.
• Support the development of new observability solutions, intellectual property, and external evangelism through blogs, presentations, and user groups.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on technical experience in observability, monitoring, or related fields.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong expertise in observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Grafana).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability and client-focused mindset.

$175,000 - $225,000 a year

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
