Job summary

Atlas Tech in Charleston, SC seeks a Data Engineer focused on Observability to design, build, and maintain telemetry, logging, and tracing across data platforms. You will implement monitoring, dashboards, and alerts while ensuring system health and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience with observability technologies.
Experience with Grafana LGTM+ Stack or Elastic (ELK) Stack.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.
Familiar with Kubernetes packaging tools (Helm) and Nginx.
Strong documentation and cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing and alerting for data platforms and pipelines.
Develop dashboards, alerts, service objectives, and reporting.
Integrate telemetry with observability tools like Grafana, Elastic, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
Monitor data platform health, throughput, latency, failures, and availability.
Troubleshoot complex data-flow and infra issues across distributed systems.
Containerize observability services using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes.
