Job summary

BENNETTS CONSTUCTION is seeking a General Laborer to support site operations through manual labor tasks. You will help keep the worksite clean, operate power tools, set up temporary structures, and assist tradespeople.

The ideal candidate is hardworking and able to meet physical demands. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean site, assisting welders, painters, and carpenters, transporting materials, operating tools, and setting up temporary structures while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products.
• Provide assistance to onsite tradespeople such as welders, painters, and carpenters.
• Transport materials and equipment from one location to another.
• Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment.
• Set up cones and warning signs to increase visibility.
• Construct, transfer, and tear down temporary structures such as scaffolding.
• Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair.
