Job summary

Paradigm Concrete and Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor in California to manage concrete projects from prep to finish. You will oversee crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure safety and quality at the job site.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, directing labor, and ensuring proper formwork, placement, and curing of concrete, while maintaining thorough records and complying with project schedules.

Salary Range $80,000 - $104,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Digging trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site
• Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites
• Following instructions from construction project managers
• Loading and unloading building materials
• Cleaning the construction site by removing hazards, materials and debris from the worksite
• Manage and direct small crews
• Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects
• Use equipment to break old forms and structures
• Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps
• Place traffic signals where appropriate
• Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
• Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage.
• Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion.
• Consulting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed.
• Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance.
• Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project.
• Ensuring that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings.
• Inspecting concrete after the formwork and shoring has been removed and instructing concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness.

• Basic math skills and calculations while measuring on job sites
• Mechanical skills to operate machinery and equipment used regularly on construction sites
• Physical strength when performing heavy labor required from construction workers
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Supervisor, or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Working knowledge of estimating and estimation software.
• The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent management and leadership skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
