Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Physician – Waterloo/Cedar Falls IA

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for an OB/GYN Physician to join our team in Waterloo, IA.

About our opportunity:

• Join a team of 6 OB/GYN Physicians, 7 Certified Nurse Midwives, and 1 Nurse Practitioner.
• Call ratio of 1:6 with a goal of obtaining 1:7.
• Laborist/Doc-of-the-day care model.
• 4-day work week when not on weekend call.
• Strong work-life balance with the ability to take call from home.
• 24-hour weekday call and 72-hour weekend call shifts.
• High volume of minimally invasive surgeries among the group, including robotics and vNotes.
• Nurse Triage service is the first line for all patient calls outside business hours.
• Experienced, trustworthy labor and delivery staff with low turnover.
• Newly expanded and state-of-the-art (LDRP) suites with 24 beds.
• Total practice deliveries average 1000 yearly.
• Level 2 NICU.
• 24/7 access to highly collegial MFM consult with direct phone call.
• Two clinic locations, one located on the hospital campus.
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Monday – Thursday 4-day work week unless on call for weekend (Friday – Sunday).
• Average 18-26 clinic patients per day.
• In-office ultrasound offered at both clinic locations, read by the General Radiology department.
• Surgical block time offered at Allen Hospital Main OR and local Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• 2 Da Vinci Xi Robotic surgical systems available at Allen Hospital.
• Physician average of 55% OB care and 45% GYN care.
• Physicians provide supervision to our collegial midwife group that manages their own low-risk practice.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO.
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN.
• Hold or obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate.
