Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop and implement treatment plans, conduct medical examinations and histories.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams; provide clear medical information; foster a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, document findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, perform procedures as needed, collaborate with specialists for evaluation.
- Team Collaboration: Work with nurses and other healthcare professionals, participate in team meetings, provide consultative services.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in quality assurance initiatives, review clinical outcomes, implement improvements for patient safety.
- Compliance and Education: Adhere to legal standards, stay updated on healthcare regulations, participate in audits, ongoing education, and develop clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specified medical specialty.
- Valid, unrestricted medical license or license-eligible in the state.
Overview
CHI Health Clinic is actively seeking a full-time OB/GYN to join our established practice in Omaha, Nebraska. Based at West Omaha Women's Health at Lakeside, this role offers a robust practice environment.
Position details include:
- Existing patient panel in a busy practice
- Growing team of 5 physicians
- Call 1:5+
- 21-24 patient visits daily, per provider
- 10 deliveries per month, per provider
- Full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology care
- In-office ultrasound, NST, colposcopy
- Deliveries at a facility with a level 3 NICU
- LEEP available inpatient only
- Utilization of EPIC EMR
- Collaboration with primary care, diabetic education, mental health, physical therapy, pharmacy, and subspecialties
- Use of DaVinci surgical robot and advanced equipment
- Involvement in medical education and potential academic appointment with Creighton University
Candidate requirements:
- Board Eligible or Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to obtain Iowa and Nebraska medical licenses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to collaborative, respectful practice environment
