Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to evaluate patients, order tests, and coordinate care in a hospital setting.

The role requires documentation in the EMR, staff development, and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. Oklahoma medical license and DEA/OBNDD are required; formal NRHS medical staff privileges are needed for the specialty area.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Completion of an IM or FM residency program.

• Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for diagnosis and treatment.
• Orders further testing and referrals as necessary for proper medical management.
• Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes forms for timely patient care.
• Fosters staff development to meet current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
• Provides a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

Licensure/Certification

• Current Oklahoma Medical License and DEA/OBNDD; other required licenses/board certifications pertinent to specialty/area worked
• Must have formal NRHS Medical Staff privileges for specialty/area worked; includes age‑specific competency
