Job summary

Clinica Romero in Los Angeles, CA seeks an OB/GYN physician to provide comprehensive primary and obstetric care to a diverse female patient population. The physician will perform routine OB/GYN procedures, manage prenatal and postnatal care, and ensure high-quality care in alignment with clinic policies.

The role requires residency in OB/GYN, medical degree, and license; EPIC EMR experience preferred; BC/BE a plus; minimum two years of experience; strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree or D.O. from an accredited school.
• Completed residency training in OB/GYN at an ACGME accredited school.
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system; Site Specialist training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• BC/BE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to Clinic patients including taking histories, examinations and documentation.
• Conduct physical examinations and order/interpret lab tests and imaging.
• Perform routine obstetric and gynecologic procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of female organs.
• Monitor prenatal and postnatal care and adjust as needed.

Position Title: OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY (OB/GYN) PHYSICIAN

Department: Medical

Status: Full- Time

Reports to: Medical Director

Position Summary:

The OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to an ethnically and socially diverse, female patient population in accordance with the values, beliefs and policies of Clinica Romero. The successful candidate will also perform routine obstetric and gynecological office procedures and follow up all abnormal pap smears.

Responsibilities:

Provides primary care services to Clinic patients including:

• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
• Conducting physical examination
• Order and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other test
• Perform routine office based obstetric and gynecological procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies, etc.
• Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment.
• Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.
• Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods.
• Monitor results of treatment; changing as necessary
• Maintain accurate, complete records that comply with contracts and/or Clinica Romero policies
• Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Confer with student and resident physicians and other professional and support staff regarding care and treatment of patients and assists/mentors them in management of illness; serves as a resource to resolve patient/family concerns
• Monitor and ensures compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric health care
• Having the ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship
• Perform related duties as required
• Immunize patients from communicable diseases
• Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
• Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment
