Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) Brighton - Women's Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up under physician collaboration. This full-time role includes clinical practice, education, and leadership within a busy OB/GYN setting.

The position requires MA RN and Advanced Practice licenses, NP board certification, and BLS/ACLS as applicable. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• NP-focused Master’s of Nursing Program; no prior experience required.
• Current Massachusetts RN license with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role.
• Active Massachusetts license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
• Registered with the specialty or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners.
• Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges.
• Current BLS Certification.
• National NP Board certification
• ACLS Certification dependent on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients and families according to established collaborative protocols and standards of care.
• Sets priorities for appropriate and efficient management of patient care reflecting cost-effective resource use.
• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates lab and diagnostic tests to assess health care needs.
• Arranges for appropriate plan of care and follow-up based on assessment findings.
• Maintains interdisciplinary communication across the care team.
• Evaluates outcomes and revises care plans as needed.
• Educates patients and families about health maintenance and prevention.
