Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the OB/GYN clinic. This full-time day shift role supports physicians, nurses, and staff by facilitating patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures and delegated tasks.

A high school diploma or GED and BLS/CPR certification are required, with certification onboarding within six months. Experience with EMR and ambulatory care is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Completion within six months of employment for certification from one of the listed bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare examination rooms.
• Assist with nursing/physician procedures and specimen collection as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient care areas and inventory.
• Provide professional, friendly communication with patients and care teams.
• Perform delegated procedures per specialty guidelines and contribute to overall clinic operations.
