The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Medical Assistant (FT) for the OB/GYN Clinic. You will help manage patient flow, prepare patients for visits, and assist clinicians with exams and procedures in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, clerical tasks, maintaining medical records, taking vitals, and ensuring clean, stocked exam rooms. Requires MA program graduate or related experience and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant or CCMA or NCRMA certification.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules tests, obtains films/reports, and prepares lab specimens.
• Assists physicians and/or nurses with procedures as defined on competency checklist.
• Coordinates care with the health care team and records patient history when needed.
• Submits prescriptions to outpatient pharmacies electronically, calls or faxes refills.
• Maintains medical records and ensures documentation is complete.
• Keeps exam rooms organized, stocks supplies, and performs required equipment checks.
• Performs basic clerical tasks: greeting patients, registration, scheduling, and insurance processing.
• Records vitals and documenting in the medical record.
• Performs simple procedures under supervision.
