Job summary

Palo Alto Medical Foundation SCD is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support for the patient care team. The role builds patient trust, assists with exams, vital signs, injections, and documentation in the EHR.

The candidate should have a Medical Assistant program credential, a high school diploma or GED, and a 160-hour externship. BLS is required; 32 hours weekly, days shift, full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program; diploma within 90 days.
• Completion of Medical Assistant externship (160 hours).
• BLS certification required (Healthcare).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to the patient care team.
• Assist with patient preparation, vital signs, injections, and routine procedures.
• Support the medical plan of care and coordinate with providers and staff.
• Work within EHR and MS Office to document and communicate effectively.
