Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH, invites an OB/GYN Hospitalist to join a dedicated team providing inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care. The role emphasizes teaching residents through OSU OBGYN affiliation on multiple Mount Carmel campuses and offers access to Da Vinci robotics for gynecologic procedures.

You will work with experienced obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists in a 0.9 FTE schedule with options for longer blocks and a focus on inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with expertise in inpatient obstetrics.
• Interest in teaching and mentoring residents.
• Experience with multidisciplinary team care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care on hospital floors and ORs.
• Collaborate with midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists.
• Teach and mentor OSU OBGYN residents and fellows.

Position Highlights

• Employment Status:0.9 FTE
• Schedule Options:
  • Standard:Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Optional:One 24-hour shift plus one 12-hour shiftfor those who prefer longer blocks
• No Outpatient Responsibilities:Focus exclusively on inpatient obstetrics and gynecology
• Hospital Locations:
  • Mount Carmel St. Anns -(OSU OB/GYN residents)- Level III nursery, ~3,500 deliveries/year
  • Mount Carmel East - (Nurse Midwives) -Level III nursery, ~2,000 deliveries/year
  • Mount Carmel Grove City -(OSU OB/GYN residents)-Level II, ~1500 deliveries/year
• Team Environment:Work alongside experienced OBGYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists
• 24/7 MFM Support:Continuous maternal-fetal medicine coverage for complex cases
• Academic Affiliation:It is essential that you are open to teaching and mentoring residents through our partnership with OSU OBGYN Residency on the Mt. Carmel St. Anns Hospital or Mt. Carmel Grove City Campuses.
• Technology:Access to Da Vinci robotic surgery at all campuses
