Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician to deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in Lewiston, Maine. This role provides the chance to work in a collaborative environment, conducting surgeries and managing inpatient and outpatient care, primarily focused on patient health.

Ideal candidates will have completed an OB/GYN residency and possess specific certifications. A supportive team and a competitive compensation package await the right applicant.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency is required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine gynecology and preventive care as well as obstetric care.
• Perform surgical procedures like C-sections and minimally invasive procedures.
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient care.

Fluent in Lingala, French, Portuguese, or Somali

Education

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Job description

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join our patient-focused women’s health program. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgical procedures, outpatient visits, and inpatient management, in a collaborative hospital environment. We perform about 900 deliveries annually. You will work closely with midwives, medical students and residents. Level II NICU with in-house pediatric hospitalist. There is nocturnists coverage who provide night time call coverage. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Routine gynecology and preventive care. Obstetric care for high- and low-risk pregnancies.
• Surgical procedures including C-sections, hysterectomies, and minimally invasive procedures
• Manage inpatient and outpatient care
• Participate in shared call coverage. No night time coverage required
• Collaborate with midwives, anesthesia, pediatrics, and other care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in electronic health records
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives

• Eligible for or active Maine medical license
