Qualifications

• One or more years recent experience working as a clinic assistant in a physician office or hospital setting, or completion of a medically related training program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association source within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic tasks, screening procedures and specimen collection.
• Screen for and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including stocking and cleaning.
• Maintain examination area.
• May perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, billing, and patient registration.
• Present a friendly, professional demeanor.
