Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an OB Technician (SEIU) in California to assist with labor, delivery and recovery, perform surgical scrub duties, and support the operating room team during obstetric procedures.

The role includes preparing patient rooms, transporting patients, and assisting nursing staff with deliveries, while maintaining supplies and turnover of patient areas. BLS certification is required; obstetrical technician certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED is preferred.
• Associate's/Technical degree or equivalent combo preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of patient rooms.
• Assists the surgical team during operative procedures, providing needed supplies and instruments in a timely manner.
• Assist nursing staff in deliveries as directed by nurse: preparation, positioning, transports, transfer and discharge of patient.
• Collects urinalysis (UA) specimens.
• Prepares, positions, transports, transfers and discharges patient.

Education & Experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
