Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (LNA) to provide basic patient care on-site. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, feeding, and supporting treatments as directed by licensed staff.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, NH LNA certification, and BLS. Experience 1–2 years preferred; the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LNA certification NH required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1–2 years clinical/medical office experience preferred or Nursing Assistant experience 0–1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs and weights per policy.
• Provide hands-on patient care per care plan.
• Grooming and personal care of patient.
• Assist with meals and provide nourishment and hydration.
• Assist with treatments and procedures as needed; collect and bag soiled linen and deliver to linen area.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
• Report changes in patient condition or concerns to charge nurse or supervisor.
