OB Tech
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

Salary: $25.36 - $35.54 per hour
Full-Time Nights, 36 hours per week
*Range includes night differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

Position Overview:
Boulder Community Health is seeking an OB Tech to assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating all indirect patient care activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
• Surgical Technologist License or Surgical Assistant License required within 90 days of hire
• If not current, CNA certification or equivalent (EMT, MA, Military Medic, 6 months OB Tech experience, or completion of 1st year nursing classes) is required

Responsibilities:

• Assess requirements for indirect patient care activities and set priorities
• Perform aseptic and sterile procedures, demonstrating understanding of rationale
• Under supervision of an RN, may collect data and provide care in the Family Birth Center
• Perform point of care testing and potentially serve as a trainer
• Maintain cleanliness, restocking, and setup of patient rooms, PACU, or OR
• Ensure proper clerical procedures, including charging supplies and equipment
• Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies and equipment
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures
• Properly clean and care for instruments and equipment
