Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role emphasizes assessment, skilled procedures, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires ADN, ND RN license, BLS, NRP and ACLS within 12 months of start. A $10,000 sign-on incentive is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• ADN required for RN eligibility.
• RN license active in North Dakota or compact.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.
• NRP required within 12 months of start date.
• ACLS required within 12 months of start date.
• Stabilization program completion within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care needs by building rapport and initiating care plans.
• Provide compassionate emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on condition, medications, and self-care.
• Adhere to standards of care and regulatory requirements for quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to resolve patient needs.
• Follow infection control policies and ensure safe medication handling.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
• Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
• Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate Of Nursing Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Registered Nurse Licensed by the state of North Dakota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) to be obtained within 12 - months of start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 12 - months of start date
• Stable Program to be obtained within 12 - months of start date

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Nursing achelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• One (1) year of experience in the discipline
