The Registered Nurse for Maternal Care is responsible for caring for laboring, post-partum patients, and newborns, including interpreting fetal monitoring strips and recognizing fetal or neonatal complications.

Provides effective triage, medical screening, and treatment for pregnant women presenting for unscheduled evaluations.

Delivers comprehensive patient care, including some housekeeping duties post-delivery.

Must be compassionate, empathetic, and committed to patient satisfaction and education of new parents.

Values teamwork and contributes to problem-solving.

Qualifications include a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing, Kansas Nursing License, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Fetal Monitoring. Preferred experience is at least 1 year of nursing, with additional certifications like Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE preferred.
