Job summary

The Concordia University Accelerated BSN program is seeking highly energetic Nursing Instructors to oversee student clinical rotations in the Portland area.

Responsibilities include facilitating learning, guiding students on professionalism and research, organizing activities to meet course objectives, and evaluating student practice. Employment is contingent on pre-employment screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Current unencumbered RN license in WA/OR.
• Completed BSN.
• Two years of clinical nursing practice.
• MSN candidate with 12 credits completed.
• Able to work 8–12 hour shifts in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
• Provide adequate guidance for students in professionalism, practice, and research
• Select and organize learning activities that facilitate the student’s attainment of the course objectives
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice
• Promote evidence-based practice
• Provide a supportive learning environment by giving feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel
• Collaborate with other faculty, administration, healthcare partner and its staff
• Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings
