Job summary

Phelps Health in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OB/Nursery on the P shift. The RN delivers direct patient care, administers medications, and provides patient and family teaching in accordance with the nursing process and ANA ethics.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required. Missouri or Compact licensure, BLS from AHA, and at least one year of experience are preferred. Candidates must meet physical demands including lifting up to 35 lbs and frequent walking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri or Compact Licensure.
• Graduate nurses (GNs) must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process and adheres to policy for patient safety and infection prevention.
• Administers medications and conducts nursing interventions with a focus on quality outcomes.
• Performs assessments to monitor patient status and communicates findings to the health care team.
• Documents all patient care activities and quality monitoring items.
• Communicates with patients and families to support education and health care outcomes.
