Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

The LVN assists in providing care through the nursing process in the assigned Nursing Department under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The LVN cooperates with other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of patients, participates in patient teaching, and directs and assists in activities of ancillary personnel.

• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification as required by Department; completed before the 90‑day provisional period and prior to assignment to full patient (level 3 care) as per cross training policy.
