Job summary

Tufts Medicine-MelroseWakefieldHospital is seeking an outstanding OB Laborist to join our Obstetrics & Gynecology team in Melrose, MA. We offer a collaborative environment with in-house anesthesia, neonatology, and ICU coverage to support inpatient obstetrics and consultative gynecology.

The role features 10 shifts per month of excellent flexibility, plus 8, 12-hour shifts per month and occasional 24-hour shifts, with about 900 deliveries annually shared across the OB-Gyn Generalist Team.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
• Commitment to team-based, hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Licensed in Massachusetts or eligible for licensure in MA.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrical care on Labor & Delivery.
• Manage triage evaluations and admissions.
• Perform gynecologic consults and urgent care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physician colleagues.
• Participate in quality initiatives and patient safety programs.

Our Maternal Newborn Department at MelroseWakefield Hospital includes:

• State-of-the-artand private newly remodeled labor and deliver suites and Mother Infant Unit Rooms
• Labor and Delivery triage area
• Level 2A Special Care Nursery
• In-house 24/7 anesthesia coverage
• In-house 24/7 neonatology coverage
