Job summary

The Maternity and Birth Center at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Ventura County is seeking an OB Hospitalist to provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care with a high degree of autonomy and flexible scheduling.

You will work with an experienced team to deliver high-quality care in a well-equipped facility with a Level III NICU. Ideal candidates are BC/BE OB/GYN physicians licensed in California, with DEA certification and a passion for compassionate patient care in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-Certified in OB/Gyn (ABMS or AOA).
• Active or eligible license in California.
• DEA certification.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Shared call with an outstanding group of colleagues.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care for unassigned or emergent patients in a hospital setting.
• Manage labor and delivery, perform surgical procedures including C-sections, and address acute gynecological conditions.
• Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies and consults from the emergency department, providing timely and expert medical intervention.

As our OB Hospitalist, you will join Pacific Central Coast Health Center's (PHC), a distinguished service of Dignity Health, established clinical team to drive acute inpatient obstetric care, emergency gynecologic management at St. John's Regional Medical Center in beautiful Ventura County.

You will work alongside experienced fellow OB/GYN Physicians within a mission-driven organization. We are affiliated with St. John's Regional Medical Center, a nationally recognized medical center with a modern, well-equipped birthing center, and an onsite Level III NICU.

To be successful in this role, you will be a BC/BE Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician seeking a practice that offers significant autonomy, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care within a supportive and well-respected hospital environment.
